Sony Has So Many Problems

Day 8 now. I just can't believe that the PS3 has been out for years and this happens a week after I buy one. Just my luck. It would have to take a lot more to get me to switch to xbox.

While I didn't have any CC info stored there I was glad to hear that the CC info was all encrypted.

So anyone unloading their PS3 after this? I have heard many people say they are, but I wonder if they are really going through with it.

I have a PS3 and won't be getting rid of it. I'm not happy about how this has all gone down, especially since all this data appears to have been stored in one place (and from what I have heard, not encrypted?). The good thing for me is that I don't have a Playstation Network account, since we have always used my roommate's. So yeah, totally sucks for him. But I use it mainly as a Blu-ray player anyway, and I can do without Netflix until they get everything resolved. Hopefully they take a hard look at their security practices though.

Sony said that the CC tables were encrypted and the personal records (user name/password/email/bithday) were not. It's posted on the Sony PSN site, but I can't get to it from work.

I know people keep saying how can we complain about something that was free, but the main reason I bought it was because it was free. I paid more for the PS3 knowing that the free PSN services were all I needed. For the most part I hate single player games. If I can't play MP then it's a paperweight.

Since it's been less than 30 days I have thought of returning it to Best Buy and just saying screw console gaming. I doubt that I will since I had so much fun when it was up.
