Apparently video game companies that are doing terribad security are becoming a target (also there is apparently a 4chan rival that talks about wanting to do random ddos'ing without reason)

Sony basically got their asses handed to them.

Between not being able to protect their network and their uses personal & financial information.

They are basically screwed. I read somewhere they are taking about 1 million dollar ID Theft insurance policies out on effected PSN Users.

I will be saying how console gaming as been crappy since the late 90's.

If you PC gaming power and PC graphics then buy a PC.

Not 300 to 400 hard plastic shoebox the imitates a pc.

Honestly, the only games I ever really buy for my PS3 are the EA sports games. Then again, I'm constantly having people over for make-shift, madden and NCAA football tourneys.

Plus some people like the Ps3 to use as a blue ray player also.

Well, first there are games on console that don't get ported over to PC, so you need a console to play them. Secondly a lot of people would probably rather invest $300 dollars in a console and not need to upgrade it again for 5+ years, over dropping likely $1000+ to get a PC that won't need to be upgraded for probably 2-3+ (less time and more money if you want to stay top-of-the-line).

Not saying Consoles are better, just pointing out that often its cheaper long-term for someone who just wants to play games to go console over PC.
