Tree of Life
I finally saw the trailer to this movie, although they begun filming this movie around two years ago when i was still in high school. I say this because part of this movie was filmed in my hometown of La Grange Tx, yes the same one that had the best little whore house in Texas "The Chicken Ranch" , and the same town that ZZ Top made millions off of with there song "La Grange".
I wrote this just wondering how many people here were actually were planning on seeing this movie. The trailer made this movie seem really good i mean it has Brad Pitt and usually does not disappoint. I posted the trailer below if you are curious about the film.

AFP: 'Tree of Life' scoops Cannes top prize
Evidently it was deserving of one of the highest awards in film, perhaps it's worth a watch.TF2 Backpack: http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561197992443726

Re: Tree of Life
I'll be watching it opening night.
WARNING: This isn't a typical three act structure movie with lots of action and excitement. If you go in not knowing this is an art movie then it's your own damn fault if you're annoyed by the plot structure. If you want to know what you're getting yourself into, rent Thin Red Line.Last edited by bobbarkerissatan; 05-22-11 at 11:11 PM.

Bob, you mentioned in your gardening thread you lived in SoCal. You gonna be able to see this 5/27? Only LA and NYC get it 5/27. Thankfully San Fran is the next best option getting it 6/3. Some cities won't get it until mid-July!
And like Bob said... if you've never heard of Terence Malick, then do yourself a favor and watch his other films first. He's only made 4 in 40 years, but they are all masterpieces, and all VERY different from what you are used to. Many people can't stand Malick films, but that doesn't concern me. I looooove them and have been awaiting Tree of Life for YEARS. I still get chills watching the trailer after a couple dozen viewings over the past few months...

Interesting sidenote that I know bob will enjoy... I learned today that one of Malick's favorite films is Zoolander. LOL. Google it.
