They'd need a waiver to even show it but I'd say it is worth it. Great series.
I agree with the above statements. I enjoy The Pacific, however it just didn't seem like it was really the same and a little harder to follow since they kept changing characters and units and jumped through the events pretty quickly.

Re: Band of Brothers vs. The Pacific
I made a movie once. It was called "Dex71 Pawned on BF2". It broke all world records on opening night....
All, humor aside though. All, I can say after seeing both movies is that Band of Brother is a legit movie. The story is told very well and make you feel like you know the characters. I think Band of Brothers, Pacific, Save Privet Ryan, Saints and Soldiers should be a requirement for all HS. Also, agree that Pacific seemed to be really a fast...

"What's fubar?"
"Oh it's German."
Yeah, it is though. I remember having to get permission to watch various films in high school because of the "graphic content and language" used. I don't even think they could show Saving Private Ryan at all for example because of the beach scene. They might if they just skipped that part.

Re: Band of Brothers vs. The Pacific
Everyone here has pretty much summed up my feelings on it. With BoB it was almost like you were part of the squad. By the time the last episode rolled around, you were pretty disheartened and sad to see it end. That same feeling you got when summer camp was finally over and you had to go back home...... *** sniff ***
It's funny though, BoB and The Pacific were both 10 episodes, yet BoB seemed more in depth and longer.
I also think it may have to do with our perception of history. When I think WWII, I think battle in Europe first and war in the pacific 2nd.

Re: Band of Brothers vs. The Pacific
Just finished watching The Pacific for the 2nd time. It's actually a lot better than I remember it being the 1st go around. Always chokes me up when I watch the last episode on either series and they give the life stories of the characters after the war.
