Mom "helps" with the laundry

To be clear, I do my own laundry, but living at home for the summer, my mother likes to help out which is sweet.

But I have 2 types of things i need to wash, clothes and gear.

Clothes are simple, just wash the fuckers.

Gear, not so much, most of it is either waterproofed or treated with various other substances such as deet. Needless to say, standard washing and drying will at best require a re-coating of DWR( that's Durable Water Repellent, for those of you that don't go outside much) for most of these things.

so, Looks like its time to retreat the coat i just treated a couple of months ago, cause my mom set me to the market, and then moved my stuff to the dryer while i was out and put in a softener sheet now the entire coating is fucked.

I know she was trying to help but FOR FUCKS SAKE!

I know what you mean, my wife used to do that to me.... just need to make it clear that there are certain things that are off limits.

I remember when my mom washed and dried my brand new cashmere sweater..... I still remember her facial expression.
Now I feel rotten for getting so pissed. Would make a nice sweater for my 1 year old.

My mom loves to wash her horse blankets in the washer... I make sure she tells me when so I wash my stuff BEFORE she runs that crap...

Gotta love it when a friend is staying at your place, is bored out of her mind while you're at work, and decides to do something nice for you by weaving a rug out of your new climbing rope, and a few people with muddy (& lord knows what else) boots wipe their feet on your newly tangled, dirty as sin $200 POS. fffffffff..... "You'd best thank god you're cute right about now."

Ugggg that sucks dude.... i treat my ropes as holy, if anyone ever whipped there feet on my precious... idk what i would do....
