My grandmother's diabetes was also poorly controlled. She lost a leg just below the knee 2 years or so before she lost her life to complications of diabetes (congestive heart failure into real failure (complication of trying to resolve the congestion heart failure) which about killed her liver function. At that pint it was all downhill from there. All together from the beginning of the congestion heart failure to death...took about 3-4 months.
It was awful and heartbreaking to idly watch knowing there was nothing one could do.
Don't mess around with diabetes...it plays for keeps (and it cheats by ducking with your other organs first and during).

At least your drinking the sugar free stuff. If you want something cheaper to get your diet free fix. You can get a Route 44 diet drink at Sonic during happy hour for only 1.25 (as long as you don't get strawberry flavor, which adds on another .25). My poison is a Route 44 Cherry, Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper.
Also, if you're drinking that much soda, I hope you're brushing your teeth and rinsing with mouth wash (the type that restores enamel). You don't want diabetes AND teeth problems.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.
