    It would seem the idiots in Iran have decided to take 15 British Marines hostage claiming that they were in Iranian waters.

    Despite the fact they weren't

    The two zodiacs were captured by 6 Iranian navy gunboats.

    How long do you think Britain is going to give Iran to hand over their marines?

    I say about a week before they ask the UN if they can "deal" with the situation

    This looks like it could be a really nasty situation.

    There are going to be some big fireworks if Iran uses them as a bargining chip for nukes.
    It looks like an attempt to influence the debates over sanctions. Read, "We get concessions, or you don&#39;t get your soldiers." It&#39;s a lovely Catch-22.

    I don&#39;t think that Bush is going to have much of an option to take any millitary action in Iran either. He&#39;s going to be absolutely nailed by the Democrats, who&#39;ll be asking why we&#39;re in a third country when the first two aren&#39;t even under control.

    In summary: Lots of shit. Pardon my French.
