Just finished season 3rd and final season of Luther. While the entire run of the show was short and sweet (only 14 episodes in total), Luther is quite the thrill-ride with plenty of twists and turns. This is one of the only shows I have seen where the warped and crazy ways that events play out leave you shaken and mystified, but without leaving you dissatisfied (fans of Sherlock know what I mean as these two shows are similar in that regard). Luther is an interesting character and the writers always manage to stay one step ahead of the audience - the cases are brutal and the resolutions are unique. I spent much of the series saying to myself "How are they going to catch that guy?" or "How on earth is this going to play out?" but it always does and does so well.
While very good all the way through in my opinion, I can see how the last season might be polarizing for some. It did have the lowest average ratings of the 3 seasons on Metacritic, though just barely. I will hold fast to my previous recommendation - this is a fantastic show and definitely is worth watching.
The show's creator has recently announced he would like to do an origin story as a feature film, but no further details have been given. The franchise may yet see the light of day in the months to come but the story of the show is indeed finished. You can see all 3 seasons on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Here's a couple trailers to peak your interest:

Just finished Jekyll tonight, the 6 episode BBC miniseries by Steven Moffat. Being a fan of Sherlock and Doctor Who, I figured I'd check out his earlier work. Jekyll is pretty fantastic and definitely feels longer than it's meager 6 episodes. James Nesbitt gives an absolutely phenomenal performance as Dr. Jackman and Gina Bellman is astounding as well (She's also in Leverage). The show is dark and harrowing but with some great bits of humor sprinkled in. The CG budget was a bit thin and some of the slow-mo stutter frame horror sequences were overused somewhat but overall the series was well worth the watch. An interesting modern take on Jekyll/Hyde with plenty of twists to keep you guessing, even up to the final scene.
It's on Netflix, I would recommend if you have the time and are interested in that sort of show.
I also recently started Bojack Horseman, the new cartoon on Netflix with Will Arnett (Arrested Development), Alison Brie (Mad Men, Community), and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) who also happens to be the executive producer on the show. The first couple of episodes aren't too funny and are a bit slow to start, but the show quickly gets much better- I'm only 4 or so episodes in but the last few I watched were way better than the first two, and actually had me laughing out loud during a few scenes. The show isn't a homerun, but it's funny enough to make it worth watching if you're into shows like Archer, Futurama, King of the Hill, etc.

I've been touting the awesomeness of Jekyll for years to anyone that would listen. LOVED that series. He really pulled off playing the two sides of the character and making me believe it was two separate personalities.

I thought so, I didn't so much as even chuckle in the first 2 episodes, they were just plain unfunny. The third one was ok, the fourth one was a bit funnier and the fifth one even better. It's gotten a little better with each episode I've seen - at least I thought so. I'm optimistic that the second half of the season will be good given the trend of the first half. I'll probably watch a few more tonight
