Re: to colts fans
Colts can go 0-16 and the Pats can go 16-0, but if the pats don't win the super bowl, they are no better off than the colts.
You can talk all that smack about the 3 super bowls that the pats won SEVEN years ago, but they haven't won one since 2004. In fact in the last 3 years, they've missed the playoffs altogether (2008 ), Lost in the first round of the playoffs (2009), Lost in the first round of the playoffs (2010).
Brady hasn't won a super bowl in 7 years and hasn't won a playoff game in 3 years. If any other QB did that (especially Manning), you'd be in here arguing that they were choking, HARD.
All that being said, the fact that you believe the Colts will barely win 4-5 games, only shows that Manning is more of an MVP for his team than Brady (considering an average Matt Cassel went 11-5 in that system).
Don't come in here talkin shit about the colts losing 11 games without manning, when your team can't win a playoff game WITH their best player.

Re: to colts fans
Completely agree.
Brady also. Both are just ridiculous. And with all due respect to Brady, I would have liked to see the roles reversed. It's obvious that Brady is elite, no doubt, but at the same time, Matt Cassel went 11-5 in that system. I'm wondering how much the system magnifies Brady's talent.
I mean hell, the Colts practically don't have an O-coordinator. Not to mention Manning had to play with shit his first couple years, Brady walked right into a super bowl caliber team.
I firmly believe Manning would have won more than 3 rings if he played with Belichick and was able to start game 1 of his career with the caliber players that NE had back in the day. I guess we'll never know.

Re: to colts fans
The arguement that Brady has more help is a valid one, but I don't think Peyton would have thrived as much in NE as Brady has. The reason for it is pretty simple, Manning is the type of person that wants to be King of the Team. The Colts didn't replace Tom Moore because Manning is the coordinator. They let this clown replace Dungy because because Manning is the Head Coach. They haven't had a legitimate backup since Manning was drafted because Manning won't allow it. Sorgi beat out a veteran QB with starting experience one year when that vet QB outperformed him in the preseason, but it was the vet that got cut because Manning wanted to keep his professional caddy.
That shit wouldn't fly on a Bellichick team. Bellichick makes no bones about the fact that he is the decision maker, and that's all there is to it. The reason Brady is so successful there in NE is because he's able to work within the system. Brady is without a doubt a great QB. He has flawless mechanics, progresses through his reads quicker than any other QB in the NFL (possibly sans Manning), feels pressure extremely well and shifts around in the pocket to compensate, and most importantly he just makes good decisions. He can air it out as well as any QB, but he's just as happy taking the short gains if the long ball situations aren't there.
They are both great QBs, but their situations just aren't really interchangeable. Without a doubt though, they'll both be first-ballot Hall of Famers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Manning would've been able to fit in the system, but I don't think he would've fit there as well as Brady has. Bellichick probably would've been able to build a new system around Manning's strengths, but would've had to make sure Manning knew that he wasn't the coach, wasn't the offensive coordinator, and that his job was to play QB and lead the team. With Brady, Bellichick didn't have to do any of that, and was instead able to focus on teaching Brady the ins and outs of defense, to help Brady's ability to read what a defense is doing. After the time Bellichick spent with him his first few years, Brady's probably qualified to be a defensive assistant coach at the very least, and possibly a defensive coordinator lol.
To be honest, the only real issue I have with Manning (outside his desire to control the team and make it's decisions) is that he's been handed a bit of an advantage by playing in a no huddle system ALL the time. That type of offense wouldn't work if Manning weren't as smart as he is, but having a tempo so high that the defense can't substitute any players is a rather large advantage.
