Re: to colts fans
There are some valid points in that article Rock, but some of his own evidence works against him. I don't put as much stock in the pure numbers, where Manning has a clear edge in everything (including interceptions thrown), because the two teams are completely different. The Colts are a throw first, throw second, throw some more, and then MAYBE run the ball team. The Patriots morph game to game. Some games Brady plays in the Manning style, where he throws and throws, and he excels at that. Some games Brady is in a system that's mostly running, being followed up with play-action passes, and he excels at that. I believe what gives Brady an edge in the debate between him and Manning is that Brady is able to change his game to adapt to changing circumstances, while Manning appears to have to have control of the ball all the time. Manning appears to audible out of the majority of runs when he gets to the line, and rarely changes from a pass to a run. It's common for Manning to have 30-40+ attempts, and yet it seems rare for Brady to have the same.
In no way do I believe Manning is anything less than a great quarterback, but I believe Brady's ability to be great within the system rather than having to change the system to match his own preferences is what sets Brady apart, and gives him the slight edge.

I too have noticed that Manning has difficulties with handoffs. It is probably his greatest weakness.
Let's get real, the ONLY negative to Manning during his entire career was his inability to win the "big" game, but he did that too. To me what it boils down to is if every player in the NFL were free agents, and you had the first pick, who would you take? Now there may be players that you would want to take ahead of these two, but of the two if both are healthy I take Manning. Either of them can hand the ball off to Chris Johnson every snap, but if I need a QB to win a game passing I prefer Manning.

Re: to colts fans
Morning, He had to make the system his own, that team was awful before he got there and he worked his magic to get them to the top tier every year since. I think once the Colts wind up drafting in the top 5 of next year's draft, we'll understand why Manning wants to run the show his way.
If I am a GM of flailing team with maybe a couple of above average players, I'm taking Manning over Brady in a draft.
Manning can work with any personnel and make them look good.
Again, I wish we could have seen Brady on a different team so we can gauge his ability to play somewhere where the system doesn't make QB's who haven't taken a snap since high school, look like 11-5 QB's.
As far as MVP (Most Valuable Player, for those of you who think it's a Best Player in the League Award) goes, it should be Manning almost every year. If the Colts win anything less than 10 games this year, that point is proven.
Since Walters and others like to gauge things in super bowl wins, in the last 6 years, Brees, Manning (Peyton), Manning (Eli), Big Ben and Rodgers have all won rings since 2004. So in the last 6 years, all of those qb's (according to his reasoning) are better than Brady.
On another note, it's not like the pats were ridiculously dominant in their Superbowl wins to begin with (3 won by a combined 9 points). Good teams, but not kicking ass and taking names as he likes to insinuate.
Manning himself exploits defenses.
Brady's system exploits defenses.
