I'm going preface this by saying I'm a new england fan (live here in RI) and I'm going call you a moron... It's game ONE you have no idea what the colts will do, but way to be one the fans I hate to be bunched with. What makes your post even funnier is Manning should be healed by time Pats play them in week 13 if the colts play him is another story. So lets not jump gun one week into season with grand predictions based off such a small body of work. Finally the Pats haven't even played there 1st regular season game against division rivals the dolphins. So if the Pats lose does that mean I should hang up my jersey for the year as well...?

tenrou - manning is going to be out most of the season and even if he does come back, he's going to be very rusty. And about the Pats first game, they will definitely beat the dolphins. Miami has a bad QB. I don't think you realize how much of a hit it is too the colts, look at what happened today.

You should add an 'if' to that. Neck surgery is pretty intense. Mannings already been to the Bowl(and won) and he's pretty much already a shoe in for the HoF. He might not come back after this, at least he won't need to for any reason other than he just wants to play. Other than that there's no real obligation to come back.
