Thread: You cant buy a song - (f**k itunes)

For what ever reason.


For example, tried to buy a song the other day... ONLY place it was offered was iTunes europe store. Good fucking song, so fuck it, i bit a very big bullet, install itunes... noticing the 4 new processes added to start during bootup and the 3 additional services. uggggggggg


so i go to register an itunes account in itunes store in the itunes app. FUcking retarded... get through the whole thing, at the very end it asks for a payment method and says "OH SHIT ITS AMERICAN, you need a European credit card, well you cant register an account here, you need to go >HERE< and register"

Ok, so i do that, go through the whole damn thing again, get to the end, try to sign up using paypal as my payment method, which opens a paypal auth window in my browser, i authorize itunes... doesnt take... tried it two more times (having to go through the entire registration process AGAIN)... doesnt take...


fuckers, really do not want itunes to have my credit card... uggg fine.... note that they REQUIRED my street address (WTF?!?!?!) my telephone number?!?!!? C***s..


Finally i get itunes registration to take (by registering via a browser and not their shitty app), all this, and i cannot buy the fucking SONG?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Because for what ever reason, my american credit card isnt good for itunes European store?!?!?!?!


Couldnt put their shit on amazon? Or let Americans buy their song? Tools....




And fuck apple for trying too hard to be different and go against the grain.

Bunni...it's not Apple's fault. It's an issue of music laws that prevents it from being sold outside of Europe...

I still dont like iTunes. If I want to buy a song, I want to own it and be able to do what I want with it (copy to a few music devices that I own, remix/cut/chop/screw in an audio editor, play in a place other than iTunes/iPod). I'll stick with Amazon thank you...

I use both Amazon and itunes.

I buy my cd's off of Amazon, and rip them into itunes (Apple Lossless format) for management. I can convert to any format, and put on any device I want....ipod, phone, or USB( my HT receiver has a USB port and an MP3 sound profile).

This way, I get the best of both worlds......cd sound quality and Genius mixes. And since I have the cd, I can re-do whatever as I will always have the hard copy. I have never downloaded a song, and don't ever plan on it.

This. I will always buy hard copy for music. I don't mind having to search around for it, I like looking through the other music at the music stores.
