For $960 I got the following:

    AMD FX8150 3.6 GHZ 8 CORE
    ASUS MOBO
    8GB PC1866
    1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0 64MB MEMORY Hard Drive
    Coolmaster HAF922 Case
    Coolmaster 650W PSU
    Windows 7 Home Prem 64Bit

I held off the graphic cards b/c AMD aka ATI is dropping their new line in the couple weeks.

FYI buy a hard drive now. The Thailand thing is making good / reasonably priced hard drives hard to come by.

If you are close to one you might check Micro Center.

Civil is right. Cheapest prices I've seen for CPU's is microcenter. They also give you extra money off if you buy the MOBO from them.

Well just bought a i7 2700 k for $314 shipped from newegg, they had a sale today. I was going for the 2600k but this one was cheaper. I just want to say thanks for all the great input and especially to Phyrelight on helping me decide which parts would be best. I used about $1,500 with about $120 dollars of rebates coming back to me in about six weeks. I will post a list of what I bought and a picture after i put it together. build you later evilblackjack

Should have had you pick up an i7 and mail it to me...

Looks like a good build based on your CPU choice and Phyre's picks... You will be shredding the BF3 nicely.
