Do you travel a lot? If not, why get a gaming laptop instead of a desktop?
From personal experience, I wish I hadn't bought a gaming laptop for college a few years ago. As a general rule, they have terrible battery life so they are almost always tethered to a wall. They also get tremendously hot so it becomes difficult, if not impossible to game with ine actually on your lap.
There are other weaknesses, too. Depending on needs, you may be better off getting a gaming desktop and a cheap laptop for the same price as a gaming laptop.

Re: Laptop Opinion/suggestions please
I scout newegg for deals. First off, they can have crazy good prices at time, sign up for new letter to get daily deals. Second, opinions, customers rate the items. which can mean your getting the IT pro or the Loser Joe. But the more ratings there are the more confidence you can have in trends. Third, I never buy refrubs. Look they take them back run them through loads of tests and all, and I have bought other refrub electronics. My GPS was a refub... it broke again. I had a refrub, junk.... IMO there are just to many things that can go wrong with a computer, just buy new and hope it breaks inside the 90 window.
Also, though it's a gaming laptop, an important question you must ask is were are you willing to settle in game settings. If you want the highest possible in the latest game, well hope your wallet is think skinned cause its gonna take a lashing. Desktops will always out perform Laptops as far as price is concerned. I go heave on desktop hardware, medium light on my latop please.
Look for GT 540/560 mobile. i5 would be fine enough, and I've been using 4gbs of Ram in my computers for over 5 years now, while you can never have enough ram, you can credit it to showing off dick size.Dispatch the DooM

Re: Laptop Opinion/suggestions please
Thank you everyone for your replies and suggestions so far.
I think I should have been much more detailed in my original post about what I'm going to use the laptop for an why.
1: I need something as a desktop replacement because in my new home I'm losing the office space I had in my previous home.
I have a decent desktop but simply do no have the room to set it up anymore.
2: I need something that I can take with me to work and back home. I do a lot of photoshop and web design related work
so I appreciate the heads up on the nvidia card vs the ati gfx card. Tho. I miss gaming works a bit more important.
3: I know a 17.3 inch laptop is a bit big to lug around daily but I do need the extra desktop space when doing work. I won't always
have access to plug in a monitor (I have a decent 24") I can plug into at times.
Finally one thing that I liked about the Sager laptops is that they are modular from what I understand. This means I can upgrade parts when need be much easier. Question would be, is it worth it to pay 2-300 dollars more for this connivance.
Thanks again everyone and I very much appreciate all the input.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
