Yeah, I've heard. Good to have someone else corroborate.

    I'll look into BlueHost.

I thought about that, too. In general, I have a preference for small to medium sized companies. There's suck all over the place, but I find Big Corporate Suck to be the most maddening.

A friend of mine used DreamHost for his two small businesses (before he sold them). He liked their style. Any reports positive/negative?

The ISP hosting my domain has a total of 12 employees. They employ no script readers and when I lived there, I could walk in and bitch if I wanted to. I have never needed to though. But I may be a bit biased though. I used to work there and I still get the employee hosting discount : $0.00 :-)

Definitely look into HostGator. I have heard nothing but good things from them and have had great experience myself. The only real downside is that Windows servers are only offered on dedicated boxes (real expensive). If you are cool with Linux, you can have a shared server with unlimited bandwidth and file size storage for either 5 or 10 bucks a month. There is a limit on the number of files you can have but it is something like 300k.

Chech it out, I can highly recommend it.
