NVidia 8600 GTS/GT and 8500 released
For those that cant spend the big bucks on a top end card Nvidia just released their mid range DX10 cards.
I am not too impressed, the 8600GTS performs roughly like an ATI1950pro, outperforming it in some areas, under performing in others, there are some overclocked versions that outperform the 1950pro pretty much across the board, but at that point your spending only slightly less than the 8800gts 320 which is a smoking fast card...
Without knowing exact prices and having the final drivers available:
These cards at first glance do not seem like they live up to the high standard set by the three 8800s
I would stay away from the 8500 period.
Unless you have vista and need a mid priced card, I recommend the 1950 pro (~$150) over the GT and GTS, and the 8800gts 320 over the overclocked 8600.
Here's a mess of reviews I grabbed off another site for your viewing and reviewing pleasure.

Hello
So I've heard a lot about these forums from Gaming Forums or File Front Gaming Forums or whatever you want to call them now, so I decided I'd sign up and see what it's all about.
If you don't remember me, I also went by Punk Rawker on GF.
But yeah, just droppin' by to say hey and stuff. See you guys around!

Hello
From GF, eh? You'll find that a lot of members here were also members there at one time or another, myself included (most of us left for LM because it's simply a better site with nicer people, no power-tripping staffers, and relaxed rules).
Stick around. You might like it here, too.
