I will be checking parts and modifying. I have everything on price alerts so I know when things drop.

You should also look at an aftermarket cooler at some point to maximize your bang in that case. Your case is solid for OCing... that fan over the GPU area will prove useful.

Maybe somebody will go look at current OC benchies for the 2500K vs the 3750K...

It looks like the 5% difference in Ivy does not matter to gaming much.. meh... Either way?

I always like to consult the Tech Report system build guides. They come out every couple months and give various different builds with logic as to why they picked each part.

But as I put forward before... Do you (Ryan) intend to OC? If not you could settle on a great ivy/sandy bridge processor that is not for OCing like the K series is. And in that case definitely get an Ivy and a z-77.
From benches I've seen, the Ivy doesn't need to be clocked as high. Also, if I recall correctly from benches heavy did with his 2600k, he didn't see much improvement beyond 4.5GHz. That being said, an H60 is only $60, which could easily take an Ivy to 4.8-5.0GHz.

I'd also recommend this. The same price essentially, but it's aluminum and tool-less, not to mention Lian Li.
