    Help - present for Mom

I am looking at this Newegg.com - ASUS Eee Box EB1501P-B117E Nettop Intel Atom D525(1.80GHz) 2GB DDR3 320GB HDD Capacity Next-generation NVIDIA ION graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

My mother - 76 - only uses the computer to Skype, Email and surf the web. However, she also has very poor eyesight to the point where she needs an addon program to magnify the screen - so a chromebook, netbook would not work.

I found the above and it seems like it would fit the bill - thoughts? suggestions?

I like it but it seems a bit pricy for an atom though imo. Anything you look at have an AMD APU? That will deliver major power and it's cheap to.

Sent from my phone (not some stupid clever synonym of a flash of light)!

Yeah thought about that - they have essentially the same thing but with an AMD e450 for about $20 more.

    Newegg.com - ASUS Eee Box EB1021-B059E EeeBox PC AMD Dual-Core Processor E-450(1.65GHz) 2GB DDR3 320GB HDD Capacity AMD Radeon HD 6320 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Main thing though is that either should fit the bill - right? Just trying to check my logic.

Oh yeah they would both be good for just surfing the net. I would get the APU one though it would be more bang for your buck imo.

Any of those will work fine. Since her sight is an issue it all comes down to the monitor obviously.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.
