New Mouse & Keyboard! (PICS!)
Wife let me open my xmas presents early
Logitech G710+ Mechanical Keyboard!
I have the Red Levetron rubberized keys and I painted the red trim piece around the G keys on the left instead of the original orange(ugly). I wanted to keep my black and red scheme going.
SteelSeries Sensei [Raw] Gloss black to match the keyboard faceplate.
SteelSeries QCK MASS mouse pad(glides like butter!)
SteelSeries 5HV2 headset(not for xmas)
Cooler Master Skorpion mouse cord management. Seemed dumb at first but my last corded mouse(logitech G9) got worn by the edge of the desk down to the wire. I also hate the tug/pull and this alleviates that completely. Well worth the $15 imo. Plus it looks cool :P
Love the white back lighting on both mouse & keyboard
Scottish flag btw

Keyboard is really sweet. I just wish it was a different color as red doesn't really match my other stuff...
Now that I think of it, neither does my blue anymore since I painted my case green. Time for an upgrade?
Oh, and you simply cannot beat the SteelSeries mousepads, or "gaming surfaces". I don't care what anyone says. They simply need to own a SteelSeries before judging all others.

Looks great dunn. My wife just told me in Jan/Feb i get about $900 to upgrade my peripherals...hoping to do pretty much the same thing, plus monitors and a non-stock heatsink/fan for my processor.
Agreed. I've tried a bunch of mouse pads over the years...Everything from the Razermat to the Azurues to some no-name "gaming mousepads". Best 2 I've ever tried are the Steelseries 5L(which I'm still using...I've had it since 2007..probably gonna replace it as well since the adhesive on the bottom is just gone) and the Steelseries qck. I haven't tried the SX or the 9HD which I've heard are great as well.

Thanks everyone!
Do it. You will not regret it.
The stock color has grey keys with orange trim:
They have several different color keys you can replace the stock grey ones with, and you can do what I did and paint the orange piece green... would look pretty sick if you ask me.
SteelSeries is unbeatable when it comes to mice and pads.
$900 is a lot to play around with, send some my way Peripherals are just as important as the parts inside the case IMO. It changes the whole gaming experience completely. Well worth the extra dollars to get nice shit!
This is my second SteelSeries pad, I also have the I-2 glasstop pad which I've been using for a few years. Its still a great surface, but its almost too smooth for me, I need a 'little' friction but still feels like butter. SteelSeries is by far the best when it comes to surfaces, and no one even comes close to second.

I think sometime early next year I will get a new mouse and keyboard combo. Gotta have green lights to match my green monster, so it will likely be Razer.
I am going to be in Tempe AZ living in a hotel for about 2 weeks, so I need to get a cheap USB keyboard to bring along so I can game on my Alienware M11X. it runs source well enough... I just hate the lappy board.
