Modular is a term for the cables. A modular PSU only uses the cables you need. A non-modular has every possible cord connected even if you don't need them.

The way the cords are, that's how you do it anyway. If you need help, I think that ewok and quick lightening are both in Cali.

Make sure any PSU you get is single rail and not dual or quad rail. That way the wattage and amperage is actually available to any one component.
Also the 3770K is on sale at microcenters (in store only) for 229$ still. I bought mine a week before thanksgiving for that price and it was a steal.-- Intentionally Left Blank --
