There's SATAII? I thought it was just eSATA, PATA, and SATA

SATA-II and SATA-300 mean the same thing, so it's OK to get a SATA-II drive for your motherboard.

If you are interested in the details of the naming convention, here it is. SATA-II is the name of the committee that wrote the SATA 3Gb/s specification, i.e. SATA-300. Manufacturers are not supposed to label products with SATA-II. But apparently some manufacturers hire employees that can't read the rules. Those employees are probably the same asswipes that don't understand TTP is made up of zealots
