Made this desktop with Rainmeter, those Icons you see in the bar at the bottom open exactly what they say they open (they are not normal desktop icons). The bar just below that is monitoring my systems and network activity. RSS feeds on the left and one on the right, will be adding more of those soon. Notepad also on the right, and just above it the weather forecast for 4 days.
The big circle thing (called "Arcs", legend below) in the middle top right monitors time, CPU, HDD space, Network, RAM, Month, and Day. All of which I just listed is represented by a bar in that circle. To the left of that is a clock+day&date. At the bottom above the lower menu bar is another weather forecaster, just bigger and easier to see at a glance.
Working to get a drop down menu thing to get rid of all my game Icons soon.

Legend to Arcs:

The windows theme is also custom.

Re: Post your Desktop.
Looks like XP, and you have to hack windows to use custom themes...there are many for both XP and Vista:

On XP, I used a custom Windows Theme, a tool called Rainmeter which is a system monitoring tool that can be manipulated in almost anyway, and a couple of skins that have been made for Rainmeter. I am actually learning code just because of this it is so awesome.
Here are a few links on LifeHacker that they have featured on their homepage:
http://lifehacker.com/5302941/the-mi...indows-desktop
http://lifehacker.com/5084412/config...er-10+foot-hud (I use this one on there as you can see)
http://lifehacker.com/5158878/enigma...-and-templates (this is most of the skins you see there)
http://lifehacker.com/5087956/custom...enigma-desktop (great guide on how to use Rainmeter)
http://lassekongo83.deviantart.com/a...ss-VS-98916844 (theme I am using)
http://lifehacker.com/5056544/how-to...-visual-styles (needed to install custom themes)
And this last link is the one that got me into this, just frakking awesoem:

All of those I just linked are made with Rainmeter, all are awesome.
I will post up some of the code later when I am back at my home after this weekend, probably post up my config file too if you want it.
