Re: Lets see that sexy PC case lighting!!!!
I remember my first build like 7-8 years ago I had a lot of neon blue lighting. I think they look cool, I just made sure I had a switch to turn them off when I went to bed. That fan controller is pretty sweet and also I see you went with this. Most people here have gone with intel but I still think that you really do get the most for your money when you buy an amd processor.

AMD isn't really the price for performance leader anymore... For $50 more you can have the i5-3570k that runs circles around anything AMD has. There are very few benchmarks that AMD wins.
Tom's Hardware - Benchmark [18] SiSoftware Sandra 2012 SP4c Pro

I didn't mean that AMD wins in benchmarks, I meant you get the most for your money, the biggest bang for your buck. I analyzed the benchmarks you cited and calculated that AMD is more economically efficient in every single category. I took the numbers and divided them by the cost of each one to get a cost per unit figure. Below are the results.
So from the benchmarks here we see that the in the first category "SiSoftware Sandra (Bandwidth)" in Gb/s the results were Core i7 - 21.37, Core i5 - 21.22, FX-6300 - 20.17. We know that the Core i7 costs $341.55, the Core i5 costs $211.69 and the FX-6300 costs $129.99. Simply divide the numbers and you get the cost per unit, which in the first category is "GB/s". So for the Core i7 you paid $15.98 per GB/s, Core i5 you paid $9.98 per GB/s and for the FX-6300 you piad only $6.44 per GB/s. So with respect to category one the FX-6300 is 59.68% cheaper than the Core i7 per GB/s and 35.40% cheaper than the Core i5 per GB/s.
However to really see if it's worth the price you should look at the last category (scroll right). From the benchmarks, I calculated the percentage of increase in performance so you can compare that to the percentage increase in cpu cost. So for example the Core i7 costs 263% more than the FX-6300, but it only gives you a 6% increase with respect to the 1st category.
Cost Per Unit FX-6300 Cost per unit FX-6300 Cost v. Performance % Core i7 Core i5 FX-6300 Core i7 Core i5 Benchmarks Scores $341.55 $211.69 $129.99 Core i7 Core i5 263% 163% SiSoftware Sandra (Bandwidth): $ 15.98 $ 9.98 $ 6.44 -59.68% -35.40% 6% 5% iTunes Audio Transcoding: $ 6.21 $ 3.59 $ 1.34 -78.42% -62.65% 76% 64% Cinebench 11.5 single-threaded: $ 205.75 $ 132.31 $ 121.49 -40.96% -8.18% 36% 33% WinZIP 16.5 File Compression: $ 3.93 $ 2.16 $ 1.07 -72.86% -50.67% 40% 24% 3DMark11 Physics Score: $ 0.04 $ 0.03 $ 0.02 -31.99% -19.25% 44% 24% PCMark 7 Lightweight Score: $ 0.07 $ 0.04 $ 0.03 -54.37% -27.23% 17% 16% TotalCode Studio HD Video: $ 7.12 $ 3.53 $ 1.88 -73.52% -46.60% 44% 15% SiSoftware Sandra (Dhrystone GIPS): $ 2.17 $ 1.91 $ 1.62 -25.50% -15.16% 49% 28% Mafia II 1280x720: $ 16.50 $ 10.97 $ 10.24 -37.97% -6.68% 39% 34% Fritz Chess game: $ 0.02 $ 0.02 $ 0.01 -43.09% -32.17% 33% 9% Adobe Photoshop CS 6: $ 4.95 $ 2.65 $ 1.38 -72.06% -47.74% 36% 18% PCMark 7 Creativity: $ 0.06 $ 0.04 $ 0.03 -52.90% -31.44% 19% 10% SiSoftware Sandra (Encryption): $ 0.11 $ 0.08 $ 0.06 -45.11% -19.70% 31% 24% Blender Render Image: $ 1.73 $ 0.75 $ 0.38 -78.08% -49.55% 74% 22% Adobe Premiere Pro CS6: $ 1.73 $ 0.85 $ 0.45 -73.78% -46.32% 45% 14% PCMark 7 Computation: $ 0.06 $ 0.05 $ 0.03 -46.99% -33.68% 28% 7% SiSoftware Sandra (SHA256 Encryption): $ 0.26 $ 0.19 $ 0.13 -50.14% -31.23% 24% 11% Handbrake Video Transcoding: $ 2.87 $ 1.50 $ 0.81 -71.69% -45.89% 34% 13% WinRAR 3.98 x64 File Compression: $ 7.59 $ 3.85 $ 1.69 -77.76% -56.14% 71% 40% 3DMark11: $ 0.05 $ 0.03 $ 0.02 -57.63% -33.93% 10% 7% PCMark 7: $ 0.06 $ 0.04 $ 0.03 -52.71% -29.19% 20% 13% Lame 3.98.3: $ 4.27 $ 2.52 $ 1.01 -76.40% -60.01% 61% 54% Cinebench 11.5: $ 43.18 $ 34.99 $ 26.42 -38.81% -24.49% 38% 19% Crysis II 1280x720: $ 2.79 $ 1.75 $ 1.16 -58.37% -33.60% 9% 8% 3DMark11 Combined Score: $ 0.05 $ 0.03 $ 0.02 -55.09% -26.73% 15% 16% PCMark 7 Productivity: $ 0.07 $ 0.04 $ 0.03 -53.42% -26.06% 18% 17% Adobe Acrobat Document Creation: $ 7.27 $ 4.15 $ 1.86 -74.45% -55.26% 49% 37% SiSoftware Sandra (GFLOPS): $ 3.46 $ 3.87 $ 2.50 -27.76% -35.45% 47% 5% 3DS Max 2012 Image Rendering: $ 2.31 $ 1.18 $ 0.63 -72.79% -46.90% 40% 16% Adobe After Effects CS6 Rendering: $ 6.44 $ 3.85 $ 1.59 -75.40% -58.81% 55% 49% PCMark 7 Entertainment: $ 0.06 $ 0.04 $ 0.03 -53.84% -31.17% 18% 11% iSoftware Sandra (AES256 Encryption): $ 0.05 $ 0.03 $ 0.03 -39.01% -0.85% 38% 38% All time based benchmarks: $ 0.26 $ 0.13 $ 0.07 -74.72% -49.20% 51% 21% Abbyy Finereader Read PDF: $ 4.02 $ 1.84 $ 1.02 -74.53% -44.40% 49% 10% 7-Zip 0.91 Beta File Compression: $ 4.38 $ 1.75 $ 1.21 -72.26% -30.56% 37% 12% PCMark 7 Storage Score: $ 0.07 $ 0.05 $ 0.03 -61.51% -37.39% 1% 2%
