    Re: possible new build

I haven't had an AMD build in several years but from what I hear about people who do, those seem like good "bang for buck" parts like mafioso said.

Do you already have a power supply? Don't think I saw one up there.
CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Newegg.com
If not, this little guy will most likely do fine for what you have up there; might even be a little too much, you could probably get away with a 500W, not too sure of the power draw on that graphics card. May want to double check if it will fit your case/mobo, I didn't really take too good a look at everything.

I actually ordered one of these last night for a little MicroATX build project I'm working on. Not a powerhouse PSU and only bronze certified but decent.

Yeah man, be smart. Interest and damaged credit really hurts. I built a computer off $2k credit and less than a year later I fried it. Was still paying it off. If you can't do it out of cash you shouldn't do it. Not just with computers , but anything you buy.

There is nothing wrong with debt, as long as you have a means to pay it back. Don't borrow anything if you have no way or repaying.

Minimal unless you have been applying a lot lately. You get a couple and even then it is normally a small hit. 661 is not horrible.

    Re: possible new build

I know you may not want to hear this...

But I really don't think you should be dumping money into a new gaming PC in your current financial state. If it would take you 6 months to repay $250, then you are probably better off spending your money elsewhere.

Are you working steadily? Do you own any other assets that you could sell in order to get your PC back in order?

The new PC could buy you some temporary happiness, but in the end it will probably cause you more of a headache.

If you can payback $250 in two months then save for two months and pay the $250 in cash.
