Headsets, what's happened?

I won't comment other than to say what I recommend is way overkill and only stereo....

I have the wireless set and hate it. I've had a lot of issues with it spontaneously disconnecting. It's my backup now and only sees use in big picture mode.

For a gaming headset my goto is the Steelseries Siberia. So comfortable.

My Sennheiser PC350's are still going strong.. I've had them for over 2 years.

I can still hear a mosquito queef from across the map.

I just picked up a set of Sennheisser PC 163 because it is the PC150 with a USB soundcard thrown in. I love me some PC150. Been using them for 10 years now. My original ones were destroyed in the last move so I got some used ones on ebay. The mic died on those a few weeks back so I grapped these at the Saturn. Perfect as expected.

Those are nice, Gumby. I just hate the in line box. Logitech really did it right with the G35s. I hope when they release their next model they stick to that design but just make them sound better.

Yeah, yeah... we know you use your headphones for traveling, have headphone amplifiers, etc... I use Razer ear buds when I travel. I am sure I could invest more and get better sound quality. Maybe someday...

I like the inline box actually. I have a NewQ and the inline box works great with it. Plus I can use the headset as an analog or USB. The form factor for the box could be better though.

I don't argue with the functionality. I just have bad luck with those boxes getting caught around my chair arm and disaster ensues.

That would be hard to do with this one. The cable from the box to the PC is about three inches. They included a usb extension cable though. I think that one is currently charging my cell.

I believe the 'box' Heavy is referring to is the one that you use to control the volume, not the USB dongle.
