Re: GTX Titan
I think the benefits the titan gives you because of the extra features more than makes up for the slight loss in performance. It fully unlocks the cuda/compute features normally locked down in the 5xx, 6xx, and 7xx cards. Though due to architectural differences, amd wipes the floor when it comes to folding and such......
Also it will be interesting to see, but I have a feeling the titan will remain competitive into the 8xx generation.... and at that point the $1000 per card is justified due to longevity......-- Intentionally Left Blank --

I ordered the 2nd Titan. I am going to run them both off of my Cooler Master Silent Pro 1000w PSU for now, but I will be upgrading my PSU in time for Quakecon.

Re: GTX Titan
I'll be getting dual GTX 780's as well once Haswell comes out.
I'll be needing them for this-> LG IPS Monitor 29EA93 | 29" 21:9 Wide Screen IPS LED Monitor - LG Electronics UK

I agree. Likely, if you can spend $650 on a single card, you can also afford to spend $1000. I just don't get why the 780 is at this price point.
But it sounds like some of you are interested in snagging two of them, so maybe I am wrong. I think I am nuts for spending $2k on Titans when I really think the dual 690s would have been a better performing option, I just fear all of the issues I have heard about with Quad SLI driver problems. There is no point having a killer rig if you can't use it.
The Titans are also eliminating the need for further modifying my case (moving the reservoir/pump 1/2"). Sometimes paying the extra money is worth the hassle of having to take everything apart and mount it all over again.
