I updated windows today, installed Adaware ran it and ran AGV. Nothing major but clean as a whistle. I thought it was only doing it with SLI enabled but it just did it with it disabled.

    Gonna try the card swapping.

Going to try just removing the SLI bridge for now. Removing vid cards is not as easy on my setup. If I disable SLI and run my monitor out of one card at a time it should show me something.... I guess. .

Do you have anything you can monitor your temps with? Could be thermal related as well.

Then it's either a hardware issue or driver/OS issue. One thing I'd try before going hardware is boot into safe mode, uninstall your drivers. Run Driver Sweeper and have it get rid of all nVidia drivers remnants. Boot back into normal mode and install the latest 'stable' drivers.

    I just saw this thread...

Nuck, did you bring your graphics cards back to the stock clocks? (I saw that you said they were moved back, but maybe double check?) I used to see this happen when overclocking my GTX 570s. I found that either dropping the clocks back to normal speeds, or increasing the voltage a bit would help resolve any stability issues leading to that message.

I had EVGA cards, but I used the MSI Afterburner tool because it had voltage control.

I did a full reinstallation of windows yesterday. Clock speeds are at default. Damn this is a pain in the ass.

I played ARMA III for about an hour last night but if I surf the web for 20 minutes or so it locks up or the screen goes black or explorer crashes. It's just odd.

Bite the bullet and build another rig... Right now you have the perfect excuse for it.

Um yea...... I wish..... Built this one March of 2012 at a cost of $2215. I need to get at minimum of another 18 months out of it. Finance manager will not approve that purchase fo sho. I mentioned it to her last night and first words out of her mouth were, "did you overclock it"?

I told her I was going to have to start throwing money at it if I could not figure it out soon. No response.......

Thoughts on 2X 660TI? Best buy has them on the shelf. How would they compare to 2X 570GTX?
