I wonder if they will still take the $50 (or $100....I can't remember which) off of a mobo when you purchase the cpu through MicroCenter.

Either way....helluva deal.

They typically don't have bundles on the i7 processors. Once or twice a year they do. That deal is usually reserved for i3, i5 & AMD processors.

Friggin A. I have more than enough money. Just, with all of the furniture we've acquired recently (so as to not have to sell heirlooms), I have no where to take apart my rig and reconstruct it. #firstworldproblems QQ

I feel your pain. I bought mine "on sale" for $310 like 2-3 months ago.

When I bought mine about a year ago, I was told they had stopped doing the bundles. Instead they were giving $50 (I'm pretty sure it was 50 and not 100) off if you bought the mobo through MC. Either way, it was a much better deal to buy both from MC as Newegg couldn't match the reduced price of the mobo I chose. They may be doing the bundles again, I don't know.

Right... if you buy the the mobo they knock $50 off, but that deal isn't typically offered for i7 processors. I waited 6 months for that to happen. When I bought my 'bundle' the guy said they only offered the deal for i7 processors once or twice a year.

Ahhh. That's it then. I got the same deal. I didn't know about it, so I had the mobo priced-out already at Newegg. I went into MC, and walked out even happier than planned.
