GS4 in here, and to be honest i do not want anything else at the moment.
The new GS5 is not a giant step forward tbh from it, but i have seen the new HTC ONE (M8) and it looks like a nice phone to have.
I am just not very convinced about the 4 ultra pixels camera that HTC keep building in,a nice 16mp would fit it beter.

My HTC One (M7 I guess) has been pretty good for the past year, outside a couple of errors. I need to factory reset it to try and get the regular phone microphone to work again (a known software issue that can happen and wasn't fixed with the last update). Also had a problem with the FM tuner before the last update where it would crash after about 10 minutes (use it on my train ride to work) but now it is fine. I love the construction and the aluminum over plastic which if I really think about will keep me going with this kind of construction over plastic. The speakers can get pretty loud, but the lack of having the ability to upgrade storage space sucks.

The new One (M8) has a slot for an SD card. I'm pretty sure that it will take up to 64 gigs, on top of the 32 they come with. Apple killer.

I have a Galaxy S4 with Verizon and it is terrific. I still have not seen a better option yet (at least nothing has made me said ... oh no! I must have that other new phone!).
My goal is to succeed in any mission - and live to succeed again.
God grant that I may not be found wanting, that I will not fail this sacred trust.

Re: Phone upgrade time, need advice.

The problem with windows phones is that no one develops apps for them. So as a smart phone they're no where near as useful of a tool as an android or iOS powered device.
