Technology continues to evolve and this sounds like quite a cool idea.

Microsoft and Ford have unveiled a system to enable voice-activated music and telephone calls for car drivers.

The "Sync" platform, introduced at the Detroit auto show, will be available in 12 Ford vehicles this year.

Drivers will be able to say contacts' names in English, French or Spanish, or tell the car which song they want to hear from their MP3 player.

"The market potential is absolutely enormous," said Mark Fields, Ford's president for the Americas.

Am I the only one that's recalling the "If Microsoft ever made a car" gag right now?

Well, as most of you know I've been mulling over the idea of getting a new comp for months now. I've posted many questions in this forum over and over again trying to get as much info as I could. But I finally ordered everything, and it all came in today.

Intel E6600 2.4 GHz (which I will overclock)
EVGA 8800 GTS, 640. (which will also be overclocked)
A gigabit mobo (version 3)
segate 250 gig HD
2 gigs of crucial ballistix 800 MHz ram
630 watt Power Supply
An antech p180 black case
A simple liteon cd drive (with SATA cables)
Plus my g5 logitech laser gaming mouse
My monitor hasnt arrived yet, but I expect it in tomorrow. A samsung 20" widescreen (1680x1050 I think is the native res.)

Got it all for under 1300 (shipping included)(keyboard will be bought tomorrow)

I know it isnt the best rig out there, but for 1300 I dont think I did that poorly.
