free compared to pay. Norton makes money off you, they don't give a rats ass how will your computer is secure as long as you pay them. Plus companies like AVG and Advast!, bit defender etc. create a quality product that works, because if it works it more of an incentive for me to tell someone else to get it or to buy it fo complete protect, and if the person you tell buys it and so on they make a good amount of money.

Funny thing about Norton in the forum read even the government is tired of Norton, apparently they now use McAffee (or at least some parts).

I was having problems with a trojan that no anti virus program could get rid of....I tried, norton, avast, antivir...even tried some spyware removal programs, adaware and spybot...none worked...I used this..and havent had a problem since

Avast - free jest turn off the alerts and sounds after you install it good for what you pay free

The thing I hated was how much of a resorce hog Norton's is in comparision to how much it actually does and the amount of fucking changes it makes to your registry. I would just trash Norton all together and like the others have said run AVG or Avira.

hmm i find that avg and avira don't protect vary well and avast and vcom don't take much processor time. But I try to go for protection over processor time.
