Thread: What's the word?

The server is still not uploading the maps properly, and where as a month ago I would have been anxious to be playing all these new GG maps. Now every time a new map comes up I have to find it online download it etc.

I dont have this problem on other servers, so what can I do to help. Our maps are fine its the data transfer or something. Its getting frustrating.

Released today!

The single player campaign is quite impressive so far. Some key points:

• Squad focus
• Squad leveling
• Squad gear/weapon control
• Squad special abilities
• Cover system
• Focus on combat and squad efficiency rather than buildings and construction
• Impressive graphics
• Simplistic UI
• Boss battles

...and more, but I just figured I'd drop some media in here for anyone interested in this RTS.

Boss battle. Everything changes and now the goal is to survive and keep your squads away from the bosses special abilities. I found the turret (which is a special item you can give to a squad) helped a lot in this case, as it didn't take much damage because the boss was mainly attacking my squads.

Pic #3: bosses special attack against one of my squads that were in a building - knocked them out of it and they took a lot of damage.

Pic #6: The only thing I dislike here is the bonus XP for speed (or lack of in my case). I like to take my time, use strategy and enjoy the game. My goal isn't to complete each mission as quickly as possible.

I'm fighting the Orks and the Eldar right now because technically we (the space marines) don't know about the Tyranids...yet.

Bosses are the hero classes of all the other races pretty much. Or, I guess I could say so far they have been. But they're in not really similar to my squads, unless of course I was fighting Space Marine bosses then they would be...I guess...

You can change/modify your squads weapons and armor, plus their special abilities. I also believe there are 4-5 tiers of weapons and armor. Like an MMO. I've seen white (basic) and green (normal) so far. A friend said he's seen blue (rare) weapon drops.

Example:

• White: basic
• Green: common
• Blue: rare
• Purple: epic
• Orange: legendary

Each level of color (tier) having better stats and armor/power.
