Is this supposed to be like that?

I am trying to change my mic boost and volume levels in the GG and other servers of TTP and it comes up with this when I try and change it.

Is this something that TTP has locked with a server file or something? Or am i missing something?

It might have to do with your soundcard. I had the same issue with my onboard sound before I got a real soundcard. What are you running?

680i with Realtek Onboard

Im running a 680! nforce motherboard. I attempted using it when my Sound card went bad and i was awaiting a new one. IT will push sound fine but when you try to do any special stuff with sound input and playback it groans a bit.

I think the sound card is really basic simple. I belive nvidia is asuming if you got a 680i mb your also running a High end sound card....

have you installed the Realtek Drivers for the 680i?....

The base set that the mobo comes with is gimped...
also ensure you have turned on all features of the sound card in the bios.

Should have pretty close to the latest drivers, I haven't checked in a couple of weeks if they had a new one. I will have to check the bios for onboard sound settings tonight.

I also had a bad Realtek onboard. I personally would recommend getting a real soundcard. I went in circles with that damn piece of crap for months before finally getting a card from a buddy of mine. It's really not even worth the effort.

Yeah, i kinda wanna get a x-fi platinum so i can hook up my 360 to it and play sound through my computer. But don't have the liquid assets right now to drop 125$
