But I do reccommend building newer system.
The thing is that computer has an AGP for its video connection thus your card is probably AGP, so if you built a new system you would definately want to go PCI-E and that video card wont work. Also that system you listed will never support more than 1Gb of RAM so that is very limiting. It may be a lot of investment for you to make a new computer as many of your old parts wont be useful. Hope this helps a little...
If you want advice on building a whole new system just ask, but that thing you got now is pretty well maxed out and cannot go very far. Good luck!

Re: Jeffzilla needs your help!!!
Shit, i got:
MSI Motherboard
Apevia 600W PSU
AMD Athlon X2 4800+ Brisbane (2.5Ghz) OC'd @ 2.75Ghz AM2
2 x 1 GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 800 RAM
1 80-gig Western Digital HD
ATI Radeon X1950PRO 512MB AGP
3DMark06: 5077
Same g-card as Jeffzilla, but im sure my CPU is better and i have better RAM... But with my rig, i get around 80-150fps. Nothing wrong with AGP. But yes PCI would be the best way to go, but since you already got the g-card.. just change out the MB and processor.
My MB: $49.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130064
My CPU: $109.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103778
Get a new processor, and better ram. If anything, when you upgrade later on... All you'll need is a new MB, so you're out $50. But fuck it, better than buying a whole new G-Card, Processor, RAM, and MB

Re: Jeffzilla needs your help!!!
yeah thats great advice... I just have not looked at AGP in a looooong time so I was just assuming that they didnt make many decent Mobos with AGP anymore and AGP was off the radar.
But yeah those prices are nice and cheap. That HP you got now is really weak compared to what Hub has.
Do what hub said! Although the Mobo he linked to uses DDR2 memory so you will have to buy some RAM as your system currently uses DDR.
But you can get a 2x1GB DDR2 800 kit for as low as 50 bucks on Newegg.com.

The handsome Pavilion A706n is inadequate for gaming and only so-so for daily computing.
When you build your new pc all you will see the difference.
