Thread: hey bf2 setup ?

hey thanks for all the advice on video cards i bought a 8600 today and was happy with it so far my neighbor is gonna buy it from me around xmas for what i paid for it so i can get my 8800 any way new bf2 ?... I just bought it last night and loaded it on my pc and it rocked. But it seems to lag alot i have a great internet connection. I never lag out on cs any thing i should do to make it lag up less. and i need some help setting up my voip it had lots of distortion last night.

I would almost guarantee that it is not the card lagging. What are the rest of your computer specs?

And what are the video settings in BF2 - resolution, shadows, lighting, filtering, etc?

2.8 ghz dula core and 2 gigs of ram dont realy know the settigs i just bought the game last night

You should not be getting any lag on the video side of things.

Download FRAPS and install it. Check to see what your frame rates are.

Did you down load the latest drivers?

Try what Nuck said with Fraps. If you are unhappy with your FPS then post your video settings. Also, note what make/model or resolution monitor you are using.

i am at work its a dell crt monitor and i am only running 1024/768 ill install fraps when i get home what ever that is does any one have vent or any thing so they can walk me thru some of this crap on bf2 i can make css scream but i have never played BF2 or configed it i get well over 100 fps on css
