Thread: new system cause my ps shit the bed

My connection was spazzing one day while I was trying to play expert. So my gf and I decided to try DC on expert with bots. We got to the cresendo(sp?) on DC3(alarm). My g/f and one bot died and I was in black and white with 1 HP and Coach. I get taken by a smoker just as my g/f re-spawns in the closet and somehow, someway Coach managed to save me before ANY damage was done. We beat that level, go on to beat the finale.

Other than this moment, and when they see through walls to kill SI, I hate bots. I want to try to beat them all on expert(DC and TP done so far) but it's so hard with bots and I don't trust that my connection could fully last the 2-3+ hours it could take.

L4D bots: smart
L4D2 bots: dumb


I can't count how many times i needed their help and they wouldn't come over.

I was playing the swamp finale and made it to the house at the end. All three bots went up that tall ladder but I got downed by some zombies i managed to kill while laying on the ground. The three bots stood up on the balcony staring at me while I was slowly bleeding to death. There were NO zombies around.

Either send the bots to school or give me a damn way to escape the smokers and special zombies.

coulda sworn right before the game came out...the whole big thing was the AI director 2.0 lmaoooo.

Or having a wandering witch AND a Tank AND a horde AND a Gauntlet. The bots are stupid. They don't even try to not shoot you. BLAM! Why Coach....w-why.....

The number of times that has happened to me... The worst was in the roundabout crescendo in DaC. I was halfway to the alarm, about to round the corner to the more open bit before it when the tank music begins, I round the corner less than a second later and a tank is staring me in the face. It spawned a tank during a crescendo, about 2 metres in front of me. While I was guarding gnome chompski.

But yeah, the bots would stand in spitter goo to get you up, but they won't get a hunter off you.

It pisses me off to no avail when I throw a molotov/shoot a gas can to block and incoming attack. We're all standing there out of the flame, perfectly fine but NO! The bots always have to walk into the fire and incap themselves.

Oh god, or when they walk into the spitter goo to "save" you and end up killing themselves...

Has anyone ever had a bot heal them by mistake? Like, if you're inbetween it and the person its trying to heal, it just starts healing you repeatedly until you move. Of course walking around would be too difficult...

I dont get why your bots arent good. because mine are uber!!!

every time im down or get taken by a smoker or hunter, the bots help me up or shoots/melees/kills the zombie that gets me.

and they do that about 1/2 - 2 seconds after it happens.
