    VGA Adapter

I recently bought a 7950GT and here is the link to it-

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150197

Anyways, it will not match up to my moniter cable and was wondering if this adapter would do the job-

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814998101

If this isn't going to work, tell me and if you have the time, please tell me what will work. Maybe something I can tell radio shack and ask what I am looking for or just tool around with on google... And if your a real pal, just give me a link

    Re: VGA Adapter

I'm no expert on this stuff so maybe there is a disadvantage to it but yes, I just use a standard VGA-to-DVI adapter for my monitor.

Didn't your video card come with one or two converters?

That's odd, Lightning's right... you should have gotten one, if not two, of those adapters in the box with your card. That is, unless you got it second hand... actually, I bet it's cause it's an XFX card. I always buy eVGA cards, so that's probably why I expect to always get the adapter cause it comes with every card I get from them.

At any rate, that DVI-to-VGA adapter is the correct one that you want.

That wouldn't be Newegg's fault, but the manufactures fault for not supplying it, or if it says on the list of items that they don't come with it.
That would be the purchasers fault.

    PC problems

So while this may not be the best place to post this, I thought I should at least try to get a solution anywhere possible.

Today, I was playing League of Legends and my internet connect dropped (this wasn't the computer's fault, as it wasn't working on my MacBook either, therefore it was just general connection issues). I restarted my computer, and, after it booted it up, after 10 seconds of being in the desktop it froze. I speculated that it was a startup program like AIM or MSN, so I went in to safe mode and deleted those items. Still no luck.

I did repairs, diagnostics, etc, and no help.

Also, I rarely shut off my computer, but it does go in to sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity. The fans are not being blocked by anything also. Ideas?

What are the stats on it?
I doubt it's an overheating issue, as, while it has been relatively hot out, it's quite cool in the room it's in.

Either way, I sent it back to the tech at Staples and he'll tell me what's wrong tomorrow.

Ah staples. Better than Geek Squad. I have about 5,000 ideas from my own trial and error, but without the computer handy, I dont know where to begin.

Better then sending it to HP in Ontario for three weeks just to be told, "Oh, yeah, we just did this within 5 minutes".

My Mom threw a shit storm at them because, apparently, soft ware is not covered in the warranty... so, because of her huge shit storm, we got a year trial of Norton Anti-Virus and they waived the inspection fee xD Sometimes batshit crazy women can be a good thing.
