Thread: Disapointed in EVGA

So I recently purchased an 8800gt and as I bought it I noticed a paragraph that said all orders require adult signature upon delivery. Then further in the purchase process there was an option for "Adult Signature" auto checked so I uncheck and think no more of it.

Then I was reading in some forums and they were discussing how even with it unchecked UPS was asking for adult signature. So I call them today and ask to make sure that it will not require adult signature (In my house were all over the place so it is hard to get an adult signature) and I go through 3 differnt levles of there sales department and finally a guy understands what I am asking.

He tells me regardless its an insurance requirement for the adult signature and there was nothing he could do.

So now I get to look forward to a week of UPS hit and missing an adult at my house.

Any suggestions?

If you don't answer the door at all, they normally will leave a signature slip for you to sign and they will deliver the next day. That's how I handle all of my packages that require a signature. I don't think it's really EVGA's policy, but more UPS's policy that an adult signature is required. At any rate. Give that a try.

That was very helpful. I will probably still answer but If they wont let me sign I will ask for a slip.

Once you get the card you wont be disappointed.

They will let you sign.. Honestly the delivery dude, just wants to finish his route, hes not going to protest your signature..
