AMD phenom quad cores....

yea, read up on the spider platform. its supposed to work with ati cards and crossfire, not sli.

I just looked through Asus and Gigabytes offerings and true enough, the AM2+ sockets universally do not support SLI... which kinda makes sense since ATI IS AMD. I did not find much speculation as to whether they will make a socket AM2+ that supports SLI. Nvidia is making chipsets (the 7 series) that support AM2+ specifications...so maybe they will make an SLI one soon.

id really like to see how the new phenoms (when they come out) on an am2+ with twin 3870's (or whatever ati has at the time the phenoms get out) in crossfire will do.
