Ok, i will go and run up a 3Dmark score and try to post it up. Maybe we can find the route to my low scoring.

    Re: 3Dmarks and OC

Seriously how low? Your probably looking at somewhere in the area of 8000 or so score which is plenty respectable.

As for Overclocking I am pretty sure your going to have to turn off the speed stepping feature to allow you to directly control the CPU multiplier

if you are using the newest drivers for your motherboard and/or g-card, it's going to say stuff like that.

you NEED to link your dynamic compare link to your profile, so we can compare our scores to yours, test by test, and helpyou solve your problem.

also.....why would your under-load CPU-Z shot matter? are you looking at the speed throttling?

I'd turn any automatic clock/speed adjustments off.

damn... we need a link, something wrong there...
Was it run at the stepped down speed?

That message doesnt me jack, just get the latest drivers and your fine.

    Do a Start/run DXDiag

Go to the display tab, run all the tests there.

Then to the system tab, Click "Save all information"

Open the dxdiag file and Copy and paste everything down through

Actually investigater, I have been checking around on the futuremark site, and similar CPU/Graphics combinations are similarly scored, I was completely off in my guess of 8k, the 8600gt is simply not up to those kinds of numbers.
