Not a fresh format .. I just keep my desktop tidy.
Jinx run it at 1280x1024 thats the default res. I think you would get a better score than that to.

word. i like to keep my desktop clean. nothing pisses me off more than a nice looking background cluttered with thumbnails.

    Re: Nice quick benchmark.

With no SLI at 1280x1024 I got 193.7fps avg.
    With both AFR1 and AFR2 at 1280x1024 I got 197.7fps avg.
With Split Frame Rendering at 1280x1024 I got 196.4fps avg.

    Stock AMD X2 5600+ (2.8ghz, 2x1Mb L2, dual core) and 2 8800 GTS 640's.

Also, Jason, I noted on Lightmark's website under their FAQ that there is a driver issue that causes ATI HD cards to perform more poorly than it should:
"Q: What's up with Radeon HD scores?
A: They are lower because of driver issue, fix is in works. "

Soy you dont have something right.. You are running two 8800's? in sli? I got more than double that with my old amd system and one 8800GT. You should be doing better than that.. My X2 3800 was only at 2.9ghz in this run in the pic. http://burnstudios.com/heyhey.PNG <-- full size you can read.

    Re: Nice quick benchmark.

The 8800 GT has the new G92 core and substantially outperforms the old G90 core GTS series cards, especially the 640 whose true colors dont shine through until you are using pretty high resolutions. At 1280x1024 the G90 core GTS 320 was outperforming the 640 version. And the new GTS and GT stomp the old GTS hands down.

I would expect your substantially more powerful processor and GPU would yield those considerably better results. Admittedly I was hoping to get about 300, meh...

    Re: Nice quick benchmark.

dude look at the link for the picture .. that 289 score was with an AMD cpu.. not my intel... and two 8800 GTS"s in sli still beat out one 8800GT... Thats why I am saying you should be scoring higher.
