Huh, would have thought the Dual 570s would beat out the dual 480s by more than that, guess that i7 processor is making a bit of difference.
Why I like my mobo, I just push a button on it and it takes my processor straight from 3.2 to a stable 3.7, no effort on my part.

Ah! I got you by a hair. When I ran it last week I was over 9500... don't really know why it is different now. Nice score with those 480s. But it helps prove my point that a quad core, non-hyper threaded machine can do just as well, if not better when it comes to graphics as they are more GPU dependent.
That 980x still goes for what, $1000? Mine only cost me $200. I would hate to see the comparison for encoding a BluRay rip to a .MKV file... my little i5 would get smashed.

Don't count out those GTX 480s. They are badass cards. There is a reason they still cost more than the GTX 570s... the higher frame buffer. Having 1536 MB vs 1280 MB actually DOES make a difference. The GTX 570s have a bit higher clock speed, and I have mine overclocked as well, but the frame buffer keeps the GTX 480s in the game.
