I got bit by the OC bug...

E6420 2.1ghz stock OC'd to 3.0ghz with 1.34 voltage, using stock fan..33 deg. celcius idle, 54 deg. celcius under 100% load..wish I had a Zalman..8800GTS OC'd using nTune..

Got me 11387 3Dmark06...

KICK ASS YUNG!!! Good job man......download this and run it for 8-12 hours ,,,if it doesnt crash then youre on a rock solid stable overclock

Just got it to 3.1ghz...And my 8800GTS to 687mhz....

11470 3Dmark06... :9

my windows wont load when i go to 3.2ghz....any ideas? :8

bump your cpu voltage by 1 click...if that doesnt work, leave it bumped up, try loosening your ram timings to 5-5-5-15.....youll find that in your bios...dont worry about al the other million memory timing settings...just the top 4 settings.....if THAT doesnt work go back into your bios and lower it back down to the voltage you had working w/ 3.1........3.1-3.2 isnt going to do much for ya...try to hit 3.5 8)

add voltage just a tad, little by little.
when do you crash in bios startup or windows?

My voltage is @ 1.37...and my timings are 4 4 4 ....Ill see if it works...

Sometimes it crashes while windows is loading..sometimes after im in desktop...

I cant find the option to set my RAM timings. You think I should flash update my BIOS? I already tried it, but couldnt figure it out.

I still want to know what number you changed to what in your BIOS to get to 3 Ghz.

Any help?

Yung is getting past the boot screen so thats a good sign...usually when you crash at the point you are, its a memory timing/voltage issue, or voltage to your cpu/northbridge/southbridge......just adjust in little baby steps......frustrated yet yung?? lol
