While the card tends to perform on par with the HD 3870, sometimes better and sometimes slightly worse, with the great success NVIDIA has been having over the past few years people simply feel more comfortable using an NVIDIA card instead of an ATI based one. NVIDIA also tend to partner up with more game companies it seems, meaning that ultimately newer games are made for NVIDIA and able to perform better on their cards.
crysis is good but can kiss my ass.
    I piss on that card.
What happened when it benchmarked the source engine?
    Fell behind ATI.
There are a lot of source engine game servers for TTP.
I would love to see tf2 results but they do not have em.

Funny thing is what is gonna happen when they put that tri sli 9850gx2 against the quad crossfire 3870x2?
3 against 4? dun dun dun
Of course its over kill but still.

You cant just base how great a card is by how it runs ttp games....I mean for personal use, yeah it makes sense, but for discussion purposes it doesnt...Now, why did the 8800gt get higher fps?

Probably because it's still better. A higher number or newer card doesn't always mean it's better. If anything, it'll be the first new line of Nvdia cards to handle DX10.1...which is just stupid that you need a whole new fucking card to go from DX10 to DX10.1...

Yeah uhhh... 9850gx2 is two cards in one... so 3 way sli with those would be like 6 cards .. 2 gpus on each card x 3.... Crossfire... 3870x2 in crossfire = 4 gpu's... And All of the new 8 series and 9 series cards will have the ageia physics engine built in as nvidia just bout out ageia .. so the cards will handle phsyics which will free up some cpu power.

I may just give this card a shot! For less than $200 dollars versus my 256Mb GeForce 6800GT its definitely worth looking into!
