    yea the q6600 is the fastest intel quad you can get without breaking the bank

    Sheesh, Newegg has the Q6600 for $264 and my 6420 is still $199. It seems this really IS a great deal.

    Too bad I dont have one of these stores around.

    Note also, that in all the drop down menus, the Q6600 substanitally outperformed the E6420 for all the games they had listed. That being said, the E6420 with a decent video card should work great for most current games; but if you got 200 bucks to spare, it appears to give a substantial benefit.
