......about vista!!

I cant get a single usb device to intstall, last night i spent 3 hours on the phone with microsoft b/c an update for vista 64 caused my computer to constantly reboot at startup screen, had to do a system restore. I love the way Vista's interface is but im going back to XP untill Vista 64 is perfected.

Ill have downtime today buit ill be back up and running with a new 3dmark score for ya'll....i think im gonna hit 15k today!!!

If your motherboard is a nVidia based chipset there's a known conflict between the nVidia USB controller if you have >2GB of RAM.

damn and i was thinking about going vista 64 for dx10 but it can wait for now

Thats my biggest issue with this P.O.S. computer. It doesn't run properly, and freezes all the fucking time at startup.

You guys have the weirdest and craziest problems with Vista...I've NEVER had this many problems that a lot of people seem to be complaining about here...I have an nvidia based chipset board too and still no problems with my 4 gigs of RAM.

In Anandtech's review of SP1 today, they said they can finally recommend Vista x64 to the masses.

Same. Been using it for 6 months with no major issues.

same, but i do get a blue screen memory dump evey day but usally after a while... its never the same error...
sp1 i believe is to come out soon... hope it does some good

I've been running Vista for about 8 months now, it was a little rough around the edges in the beginning, because driver support was slow in getting up to speed, but it's rock solid for me now. No crashes, no errors. I've been running the SP1 release candidate since it was released and have noticed no ill effects.
