yeah, I was wondering if they were going to make a new naming convention before they hit the 9800, but it doesnt look like it. There was also an ATI 9600 also I believe.

I honestly wonder how much the 9800 will outperform the high end 8800s. The G94 core the 9600 uses (and the 9800 will too) is pretty darn similar to the G92 core in the GT and GTS but supports DX10.1

The 9800 will have to blow the 8800 out of the water otherwise they would be fucked. I am sure Nvidia will pull through and release another toaster for Mcstrange.
