    Mine is:
    01 02 03 04
    Black Black Yellow Yellow

And I loaded mine Black and Yellow (1 and 3) and black and yellow (1 and 4). Of course I am using 4x1Gb sticks that are all identical so i could not screw it up anyway!

I am guessing now that the color coding is motherboard specific. But it is (in my experience) always 1 and 3, or 2 and 4.

I guess its worth a shot but I remembered that you need to stick to the same color. Hey if it works it works...

So on that note... go for 1 and 3 or 2 and 4... forget about color coding!

I don't recall what "order" they are in but I know I have 4 slots and there is one slot empty between the two sticks of ram and the first stick is closest to the cpu. I hate work some times when you are troubleshooting LOL.

    How do they do it?

I joined a pair of split screeners and another guy to help them get the team achievement by playing a vs mode. This was at 1am this morning. We start the game on Dead Center and I immediately notice something odd about this other team. They had four players to start and then one quit, leaving a bot and three humans. None of them ever touched a 1st aid kit, or even bothered taking it with them. I didn't think much of it at the beginning but then I starting noticing that they could find me regardless of where I was hiding. I started off as the boomer so I went under the steps and just waited for them to pass by so I could maybe sneak up behind them and puke. The one guy came down the stairs and just stood under the steps staring directly at me trying to chop me with the crow bar even though I did not spawn yet. he was hitting me exactly where I was standing, but I was still invisible and had not spawned. he stood there the entire time until I moved and then he went on. I ended up spawning in a room and as soon as I peaked out they shot me before I could even react.( human, not bot) Next I was the jockey and I spawned way ahead of them in a side room and just stood there waiting for them to pass by so I could get the last person but the 1st person came directly to me and killed me. Ok....that's fine, next one. i get the hunter and just as I'm about to spawn, one of the survivors attempted to jump off the ledge and I ended up spawning in midair and fell straight to my death. WTF? He gets helped up by the bot and continues on. That seriously felt like it was planned. Then I become the smoker so I'm hiding behind these flames down stairs and one guy turns around and runs directly to me and kills me again before I could smoke him. Now it's starting to get strange. It's now a little past the gun shop and I become the spitter. I spawn on the rooftops and wait for them to open the doors to get the 6 pack of soda. They all go in the building and I patiently wait but one guy walks straight out and snipes me in two shots. How did he know exactly where I was? he didn't even look around but just came out shot twice and killed me within three seconds. I wasn't visible at all prior to them entering the building. They all get to the saferoom. Then it's in the mall. I spawn at the jockey again and I am hiding about 100 feet to the left of the saferoom door behind these big shelves. NO WAY anyone could see me there. Three of the survivors walk out of the saferoom and head forward but one guy comes straight to me, around the shelf, and kills me, like he saw me hiding there.

Now I don't use a mic and I don't know the capabilities you guys have with hearing the location of infected but this seemed way strange to me. How would they know EXACTLY where i'm hiding when I'm not really hiding in the most obvious places? They run straight to me as if they can see through the objects. They stand in the exact location I am in (under steps) until I decide to finally move and then they move?

is it possible to cheat or are these guys just too damn good to beat? We seriously got our asses kicked so bad that it was embarrassing.

If they're following your ghost it's either coincidence or hacks. If you're already spawned in probably just a pair of headphones.

I know you play without sound (not by choice) so I'll explain how it changes the game:

When your playing as a survivor there is a musical cue played for each and every SI when it enters spawn mode. Based on that information I know your teams loadout before you spawn and in L4D1 it allows me to know when you don't have a boomer (very important information).

Once you spawn I know your location if I can hear you spawn in, that sound can be hard to hear sometimes. I'll save the details just know that it can be done.

If you will imagine the entire area around you as a 3D map in your head, now add the sound of a smoker, two hunters, and a boomer spawning in that space. Based on their direction for your current location you can pin-point these SIs in that 3D map and have a pretty good idea of where they all are. If you know the map down to the last detail you can make even more of an educated guess. From those educated guesses it is possible to focus on one SI and get him lined up in your sights even if you never saw him.

Against bad-average teams having headphones is a big advantage, not in the cheating way but in the I'm playing this game on a different level than you are way. Against a good team the headphones start to not matter as much, we all play with headphones for the most part so our skills have adapted and the way the game is played is different. We use sound against each other, we disguise attacks, we bait attacks, there is a lot more strategy involved that you'll never see in a public game. It isn't all about begin a good shot, it is about playing smart and as a team.

Just the other day I got accused of "hacking" and begin able to see infected ghosts by some random in a pub game. He claims I was shooting at him while he was in spawn mode, I think it was because he was trying to spawn obvious boomer in obvious spot and I was pre-firing at the spawn point. He finished the game but not before sending me messages telling me to "GTFO you hacker". I tried to explain things to him but he doesn't listen, to his credit he didn't avoid me.

Anyway what I'm getting at is a lot of things look funny, I see people pulling off shots all the time where I'm thinking "No way! WTF! Aimbot?". I just don't say anything, because honestly they are probably just that good and got lucky. You'd be surprised what you can do after awhile, sometimes I pull off some amazing shots too that I'm sure look funny to everyone else in the game.

Also there is always the possibility that they had a friend on your team who was telling them where you guys were. That might explain the whole incident with the boomer under the stairs. You never really know.

The thing is it requires so much dedication to even modify the Valve games on the Xbox now that even if people are doing it they are a minority for sure. There isn't an easy way to do mods anymore on the dedicated servers, and it carries a high risk of having your console banned from xbox live forever. It just isn't worth it for most people and the really good players don't do it because there would be no point in playing at all for them if they cheated to win.

Ah, you have been attacked by a Sonar.
That's my nickname for really good people with headphones. The headphones help hear extremely faint sounds and where they're coming from. Combined with spawn sounds, direction, and knowledge of the map, you can easily kill off any Special before they can lay a finger on you. Most Sonars use subtitles too, and it is VERY predictable that something like a spitter or smoker would be on the top of the Save 4 Less store once they pick up your spawn sound and/or your idle sounds. The only way to throw a sonar off is to spawn EXTREMELY close and quickly and attack FAST, or slash as a hunter.
    Good luck!
