03-08-08, 06:32 PM #1RAM Question
Is there much, if any, difference in having 2x2GB sticks or 4x1GB sticks of RAM. I currently have 2 GB, but I can order 2 more 1GB sticks for $35.99 after rebate of the exact same stuff I already have.

I do have 64 bit Vista Home Premium.

Re: RAM Question
No difference except that if you have 4x1Gb DIMMs and want to go upgrade to 8Gb total you would have to buy all new 2x2Gb kits and have your old 2x1Gb kits laying around. But, since there is no reason to go with 8Gb RAM dont sweat using 4x1Gb...thats what I use!
