    CPU Problem?

I had to downgrade my computer a bit since my last post about the processor.

So i have a E6700 clocked at 2.66, I have a tuniq tower cooler. (for OCing)

Anyways, When i play 2142 or almost anything 3D, the frames skip but my FPS is around 60. I have an 8800 GT.

I ran a benchmark for my CPU it didnt get past 1 fps.

Any suggestions? Is it possible its installed wrong? My CPU temp is 25-28C right now.

Input on this would be much aprreciated.

    Thank you

P.S. My CPU voltage kinda moves around from 1.168 to 1.296.

12 volts would fry your CPU.

And if your running at 28C, then you have room for some overclock.

    12 volts on the CPU

You have something screwy going on if that is real. Your CPU should be on fire. Sounds like a MOBO issue to me.

    Re: CPU Problem?

I thought it was normal to get low fps on a CPU benchmark. Take 3DMark for example, unless I am mistaken.

    Re: CPU Problem?

Yeah, my CPU was between 0.8 and 1.3 on that test.

I would imagine however the E6700 would push harder than that...

Post your 3dmark comparison link so we can see your hardware and other specs.

Also, you can use that link to see where you stand against systems with sinilar specs which helps shed some light on things.

    Re: CPU Problem?

Well the benchmark isnt my problem as much as me lagging terribly on 2142 Could it be the internet connection? As nuckle said mobo? Havent updated mobo yet gotta use a floppy and all that jazz.

Ill post the 3D mark. I think it was in the 9800's.
